Description:

As a crowning moment of his tour of the fully dressed boxer stands the massive RT with its modern four-valve DOHC in the current configuration for unprecedented ease of travel. Two very comfortable seats, well protected by a sophisticated aerodynamic shell bring relaxed passengers and their luggage in the standard luggage to your destination. The range is almost unrivaled in refinement and performance is inferior to the multi-cylinder boxer engine.

The comfortable, wonderfully convenient, yet unshakable stable suspension competition arises only in the form of the K 1600 GT. Equipment has traditionally been the domain of BMW, so everything here is to have what beautifies tours. The fact that the Boxer-RT is fully loaded and during braking only defeat of the new six-cylinder in its own home mmuss, shows the maturity level of some integral braking system with ABS as well as the overall design.

Description:

As a concept car BMW has the “Lo Rider” presented at the fair in Milan, to test the reactions of the audience. Astonished faces were on BMW’s stand, for once again off sweaty sports equipment.

When loading the BMW “Lo Rider” is not a private drawer. Roadster, cruiser, bobber, Scrambler – all these are in there somehow. And muscle bike. Typical core of the brand “Lo Rider” – of course – the current 1200 boxer engine. In this context, he calmly authoritarian fits much better than at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. With beer mugs full of torque and peak power between 100 and 110 HP is the world’s major motorcycle area, namely on the road, not the underdog, but just the boxers.

On the unique drive concept as the style-sided swing arm hangs with integrated shaft drive. The thick spoked forward is an upside-down telescopic fork. After the Telelever doctrine at BMW was already soaked, which is not a sensation, but especially with this kind would a motorcycle swingarm front end fit quite well into the picture.

Because not only is this a matter of taste, the “Lo Rider” will be configured individually. The “BMW-custom bike from the rack”, various modules are available as Mixoption. Alternatively, provided: classic round headlamps, deeply moved exhaust, pillion seat, aluminum bump. Indiscriminately. Or just black.

Even when C1 was the security concept into play, which is also in the C1-E Use: safety and construction ensures the protection of the driver, so that a helmet law does not apply in most European countries – a purely theoretical consideration, because the C1-E anyway never roll on European roads is. From the U.S. company Vectrix are the components of the 10-horsepower hub motor, hence no BMW’s own development.

The charging socket at the house now bears very little innovative potential. What is really new about the car, and why it presents BMW at the Mondial de’l cars? Why one blocks common technique in a moderately sought-after vehicle and called the whole innovative?

Description:

BMW Concept C. The future of the scooter according to BMW Motorrad.

Munich. The world of individual mobility has changed considerably in recent years, especially in areas of dense population. The registration of virtually all types of vehicles for individual mobility has experienced strong growth. However, has not increased as much as the space available for traffic, so individual mobility must adapt to new circumstances.

Considering this situation, BMW Motorrad will expand its range of motorcycles, starting his presence in the scooter segment large. This segment, new to BMW Motorrad, primarily include two innovative character select scooters, equipped with combustion engines.

Considering their different concepts, these two scooter allow capturing a wide variety of clients. It has also considered the possibility of using in the future an alternative propulsion system with electric motor.

BMW Motorrad has succeeded in combining the outstanding dynamic qualities scooter motorcycles with specific agility and comfort for his concept offers a scooter so she can offer a vehicle that allows guests to enjoy a dynamic driving style. In short, a “big scooter made by BMW Motorrad.” It is envisaged that future mass production of the scooter is carried out in the Berlin plant of BMW Motorrad.

BMW Motorrad plans to continue to grow strongly and sustainably.

Therefore, the German brand will strengthen its presence in the areas of enduro bikes, tourers and sports tourers. After its successful start in the supersports segment, BMW Motorrad is now expanding its offering, and does so again in a very promising sector.

Entry into the scooter segment is large, therefore, a logical step in line with that strategy. These high-powered motorcycles and dynamic behavior has been increasing considerably its weight in international markets. In addition, they are also an interesting alternative for those motorists who, after long abstinence motorcycling again dare to drive a vehicle with two wheels.

BMW Concept C. The new dimension in the field of large scooter.

BMW Motorrad has a long tradition of bringing new ideas and concepts to the issue of mobility on two wheels. On several occasions, the German mark-ups presented concept and prototypes, which reflected the innovative strength and orientation toward the future of BMW Motorrad.

With the Concept C, BMW Motorrad returns to chart a new course, presenting a fascinating mobility option, projected into the future. The letter C corresponds to “Commuter” English term that refers to people who commute to their jobs from the suburbs of a city. Considering the evolution of traffic in cities, this name reflects the perspectives scooter has a large sports court, future-oriented and designed for the elite segment of the market.

As usual with BMW Motorrad, this concept-bike is more than just an attempt to present a big scooter, capable of meeting the strictest requirements. Designers and engineers at BMW Motorrad, and consider aspects of technical functionality and quality, also and emotional factors were considered, with the aim of offering a product that excited at first sight.

BMW Concept C. Emotional design, dynamic and functional.

The Concept C, presented at the EICMA in Milan, represented a very emotional interpretation of this concept BMW Motorrad vehicles, which, in turn, considered the key requirements in terms of functionality are discussed in front of a scooter of this tipo. El Concept C, as the proposal of a large scooter, has fundamental features that immediately identify it as a product corresponding to the range of BMW Motorrad.

For example, the scooter also has front divided into two parts, and has the tripartite division of its design, which extends from the upper front silhouette to the front fenders, and gives the Concept C, a particularly dynamic image . And reminding models BMW Motorrad extremely sports, for example, S 1000 RR, Concept C also is provided with double bottom front spoiler.

Unlike the L side silhouette distinguishes the conventional large scooter, with lines predominantly vertical body and a corresponding distribution of colors, the Concept C offers a much more sporty and dynamic.

Ascending lines in the back of the body accentuate the active nature of the big scooter. The high back makes the Concept C, propelled by a powerful two-cylinder engine, has a light and nimble appearance. Also the small dome in the style of a motorcycle racing, underlines its sportiness and dynamism.

Various aesthetic elements, such as, for example, the side guards (bash plates, in English) as used in the BMW GS, with air inlets of aluminum-like finish, emphasize the functional side of the scooter.

Chassis components and chassis, black chrome, contrasting dynamics and defiantly with aluminum and chrome plated and blue colors of various parts of the body.

The central part of the scooter accentuates the contrast with the rest of the vehicle by the black surfaces of silky luster. The appearance of high quality and advanced technology in this way radiates the scooter, it is stressed by several fine finishing details, such as reservoir cap style cover respectively on a plane, or alternatively, sports silencer .

The character Futuristic Concept C is reflected in the tire sidewalls and color profiles azul. BMW Concept C. Exciting technology, projected into the future.

The Concept C includes unconventional solutions and at the same time, innovative, to anticipate what could become a reality in this segment.

For example, the Concept C has a single-arm swing of sophisticated technology, with hub and telescopic leg visible. The guide wheel-bike concept is in charge of an inverted fork.

The strength of the brake system with dual disc front wheel, with jaws mounted radially, not only underlines the sporty and dynamic Concept C, but with the rear brake disc and the BMW Motorrad ABS system represents a solution maximum efficiency and safety when braking.

The Concept C is equipped with an engine having two cylinders in line, combined with a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission = Continuously Variable Transmission), thus having a dynamic drivetrain and comfortable at once. The power and torque and, therefore, benefits correspond to a vehicle which is located at the top of this segment motorcycle.

The LED lights integrated into the front fairing, to anticipate a solution that will be realized in a not so distant future perhaps. Also giving up the mirrors, is an anticipation of the future. The mirrors have been replaced by video cameras mounted on the rear of Concept C.

The images captured by these cameras are displayed on two LCD screens prominently displayed in the dashboard. A third LCD display which is located in the central part of the board shows the speed, engine speed and other data relevant to the conductor. BMW Concept C. Practical equipment useful for the driver and slide openings.

The Concept C also includes proposals and ideas that go beyond the scooter itself. Totally agree with the philosophy of BMW Motorrad, a large scooter-style Concept C is accompanied by an appropriate supply of equipment for the driver. In keeping with the tradition of BMW Motorrad, the development work of a large scooter also foresaw the existence of windows slides useful.

Description:

The Concept and is a visionary concept. BMW Motorrad’s designers developed an aesthetic expression appropriate for the scooter “e” of the future: electric, digital, dynamic. The designers deliberately left open ample options, in order to qualify for other creative solutions regarding the configuration of the components and the definition of the surfaces.

The shapes and the clear application of the ideas reflect the core values of BMW Motorrad: excitement, dynamism and innovation. The clarity and purist nature of aesthetic expression, colors and materials selected to anticipate a vehicle on two wheels green, efficient and agile while, with which you can travel at ease in the city traffic.

The proposed design of the Concept and houses more than the mere proposal of a new vehicle. In addition to ensuring the technical functionality and high quality, designers at BMW Motorrad will special emphasis on the emotional dialogue between man and machine.

During their work, applied the following criteria: a vehicle must not only work, you must also arouse emotions. And it must do it again and again, but also the enthusiasm, it must also be at the height of the specific technological requirements.

In the case of the Concept and the main thing was to make visible the special character that means electric propulsion.

On their way, the concept and is a scooter, equipped with an innovative, advanced electric motor technology sets a new standard reference convincingly demonstrating its usefulness in daily heavy traffic in areas of increasing population density and large cities of our planet.

Description:

Under the dress of the C 650 GT is the same mechanics of the C 600 Sport. We have already spoken of the engine. As for the chassis, it must be said that both German maxi scooter take a trellis frame steel tube, which is bound to the engine, which then acts as a stiffening element. The transmission is located inside of the swingarm.

In this regard it is noted that the secondary is of the roller chain in oil bath. The shock absorber is mounted on the right, nearly horizontal position. The stems fork has a generous size (40 mm diameter). The main differences from the C 600 Sport, therefore, relate to the driving position and components. On C 650 GT fact the seat is lower (780 mm instead of 810 mm), the windshield is electrically adjustable (on the 600 Sport is no adjustment but manual), the body is, of course, more protective and more capacious storage compartments. Both fitted with ABS brakes.

Description:

When the Bavarian brand is put something between the eyes will be sure that a good thing. This is the case of the new G 450 X, which has been improved over the previous version in many respects. BMW has refined the injection and the start of the bike, consumption has gone down the engine and made him softer.

It has also given more rigidity to the chassis while the wheelbase has been lengthened. The result? A motorbike with a huge drive, suitable for all roads, but his strong point is the open spaces and curves-style ‘raid’. The BMW will not tame at first, but when I do not want to trust lame download it. And that is the only known German brand a job well done as the only way to enter a new segment like the enduro.
