Kiwi Test K700C: need a little work … Part 2

Description:
The picture is less rosy when we meet the rain test. Unable to block the water at the top joint of the screen, the hat unfortunately leaves into the rain suddenly drops dripping down your screen. Not good especially since we can not interfere with its setting through the side plates(not the easiest to handle) seems to be borrowed from a Shark S500 obsolete today.
The screen is however quite done with an open field of vision even in the side. More than correct, the opening offered by Kiwi will allow you to ride on the open road but on track safely. Easy to manipulate while clipping correctly, it offers seven options detent where competition is not nearly as effective. Some will regret the absence of a system that can lock your screen in half open position, for my part it does me no shortage, with maintenance of position that does not require the use…
CHHHHUUT
Made of perforated fabric, the deflector neck does not sufficiently take its role seriously tending, on the sides, to detach the helmet. Besides this lack of maintenance forced an adjustment everyday it lets the wind and noise.
Less present on a motorcycle fairing, the wind rushes through the bottom of the hat to go up to his ears in a hissing sound unpleasant.

Less intrusive than it seems, the only inconvenience is the point of view without hearing whirlwind of internal air. A call to the manufacturer assures us once again on the subject by telling us that the next version will be equipped with a deflector worthy of the name which should logically make the problem go away…
The breakdowns for their part should not be revised subsequently shame because we look further their effectiveness and a way to manipulate it on the chin once gloved equipment winter…
DIET SLIM-FAST
The main strength of the helmet is in its design. Very well balanced, the helmet is a valuable ally for both the road to the track, especially as its weight (1204 grams checked for size S) has something to annoy the competition…
In doing so soon forget his donning the full is not tiring and you will deliver sessions on track or long walks without resorting to a massage once you arrive.
IN CONCLUSION
The K700C is a helmet that has real potential and serious arguments to convince. Although he was born too early and sins of a few teething problems but not least, such a hypothetical lower spoiler, a screen kit installed or poorly attached screen ineffective, these defects should be corrected on the next version which should arrive around February or March. Let’s hope so!!
