Warning radars: Agreement between the AFFTAC and the Ministry of Interior

Description:
Following the announcements of the IRB’s May 11, the Interior Ministry conducted a joint work with representatives of the French Association of Suppliers and Users of Technologies Driving Assistance. This thinking led to a protocol, signed recently by Claude Gueant.
It was first recognized as such “warning radars” involved in road safety targets and the strengthening of education in respect of drivers. In this context, characteristics will change: they now will report “dangerous sections of track” and “specific danger points”. AFFTAC members are committed not to indicate the location of fixed and mobile radars, or that of the traffic stops made by law enforcement.
It was also decided that all technically compatible equipment were disseminating this message to road safety and the manufacturers of tools to conduct pledged to begin work on partnership with services the state.
To facilitate the understanding of these changes for users of tools for the conduct, the Department and the AFFTAC decided to create a “professional label” validated by a third certification, which will allow users and distributors devices to use or sell products complying with new regulations.
