Driver’s license: 10 million points removed in 2010

Not surprisingly, the Interior Ministry has announced a new record of withdrawals points in 2010, 10,139,522 unit’s confiscated valuable. That represents an increase of 9.3% compared to 2009, after two years of consecutive decline (- 0.5% in 2008 and – 2% in 2009). Pointing the finger once again by this report, speeding, of course … But how could it be otherwise when the road users have never been so controlled via an expanded arsenal of ever more sophisticated?
In short, almost 58% points of licenses retired in 2010 due to speeding, while the offenses of driving under influence of alcohol increased by 10.1%. However, the authorities took less than allowed in 2010, a decrease of 7% (85 700 withdrawal permits) from 2009. It remains to know the consequences of new laws on the statistics of future road safety, including those relating to reducing the recovery time from the point of driver’s license for one year to six months, and all points three to two years.
