Honda presents the first manufacturer to a racing bike for the Moto3 class, which replaces 2012 in Grand Prix racing the 125cc category. The NSF250R is powered by a newly developed 250cc four-stroke single-cylinder engine developing 35.5 kW (48.2 hp) at 13,000 trips.


The aluminum chassis is upside-down fork, equipped stable swing arm and disc brakes. The NSF250R should be shipped in white and costs expected in December from 20,000 euros plus VAT.

Constructive refinements adorn the top modern 250cc four-stroke engine. The upright cylinder is arranged not only easily inclined 15 degrees backwards to favor compact design and optimized weight distribution, but is putting off center in the longitudinal axis. Thus the place of the electronic fuel injection recycled-air mixture from the front of the inlet channels and streamlined according to the outlet leads to the rear.

Double overhead camshaft control in the cylinder head with four valves made of titanium material, the combustion processes. The silencer found at the engine room, on the right side fairing keel protrudes only a short tailpipe.

A special coating of Ni-SiC cylinder supports the construction of the friction-revving four-stroke singles, plus an innovative offset crankshaft helps to increased reliability. Set-up work at the track facilitates the design of easily accessible cassette six-speed transmission.

Thanks to its compact size and slim looking graceful NSF250R is an aluminum-tube frame features. Its basic design features are taken from 125 the previous model, stability and rigidity of the frame, however, were revised and adapted to the higher weight of the four-stroke engine. Even the bodywork with full fairing, tank and seat optical parallels can be seen, the lower fairing, however, has an additional air duct for engine cooling.
